MiCROTEC's Logeye Stereo stereoscopic imaging system is the only worldwide scanner that provides a full 360° scan of a log as it's rolling into the carriage, headrig, end dogger, or from a transverse to lineal conveyor.
Since the scanning takes place as it's transferred into the position, the log is already fully optimised and ready for sawing the instant it is dogged or sent through the sawline.
Applications
- Headrig carriages
- End doggers
- Short coupled infeeds
Benefits
- 360° real shape reconstruction during rolling
- Increase of throughput speed, yield and cutting performance
- Easy operation on the bandsaw, carriage, end dogger, or short-coupled in-feeds
- Efficient and modular solution
- Direct connection to cutting optimisation (Maxicut) and cutting line visualisation software (Optiline)
A patented revolution in carriage scanning
Logeye Stereo leads to higher throughput speed and vastly improved recovery, as the entire surface of the log is imaged without shadows or occlusions. The scanner can also detect the current rotation of the log at any point in the process, allowing full rotation optimisation and turn correction. This feature was previously only possible on lineal scanning lines.
Providing unparalleled pattern optimisation
In combination with MiCROTEC's Maxicut cutting optimiser and MiCROTEC's Optiline, the Logeye stereo provides full transparency of the optimised solution overlayed on the live image of the real log. The video of the top and butt end of the log is displayed in 5K.
Touchscreen Display
Touchscreen display for controlling the carriage operations and the cutting optimisation. The operator can take action at any time during the optimisation or cutting of the log having the possibility to manually change a cut solution board by board.
MiCROTEC Connect
When integrated into the MiCROTEC Connect concept, Logeye Stereo performs a geometric matching at the carriage to achieve CT-based optimisation.
