The Role:

Based in our Head office in Christchurch and reporting directing into the Sales Manager, this position will be responsible for the cost estimation of mild steel fabrications and project work and to consider the most economical cost method, while optimising the mix of customer service, efficiency, quality, on time delivery. Fitter / Machinist

The Role

This is an exciting position as everything we do is fully run and tested in the workshop, to see concepts progress from design to full working units in the workshop, being part of the troubleshooting and adding value to the final product can be rewarding work. Out of the box thinking and organisation is critical – our success is because of the people who work within the company.

This role is a key part of our Manufacturing team. We need someone who can self-manage, communicate clearly, think ahead, take ownership and be proactive in solving problems.

Teamwork is a key component in what we do, working together to achieve a fantastic result for us and our clients. The primary purpose of this role is to take charge of our small dynamic machine shop where we manufacture a lot of intricate parts in house for our service and workshop teams to support our international projects and customers.

With different requests coming in each day no day is the same. You will also get involved with machine assembly when required so a can do attitude is appreciated. With future plans to expand and upgrade the machine shop the next few years will be an interesting journey and we would like to you come along and enjoy it with us.

About You

  • Previous Machining, fitting experience in a mechanical or manufacturing environment
