Automation Engineer
Hastings  |   Permanent

The Role:

This position involves designing and programming the industrial control and automation systems associated with Material Handling projects. Working autonomously or in a team, you will manage automation projects and ensure their success by troubleshooting electrical issues, interpreting electrical drawings, and developing software solutions. You will be responsible for ensuring that projects meet customer’s requirements in an efficient manner.

About You:

  • Be tertiary qualified in a relevant subject or Electrical Trade qualified
  • Have experience in PLC programming
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical and automation systems
  • Have a good eye for details and high level of accuracy
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise, and manage time effectively
  • Be able to work autonomously or part of a team

Machinist / Fitter
Christchurch

The Role

As part of the After Sales & Service team, you will be responsible for machining MHM components in our machine shop. The role will expand to fitting duties when needed within the workshop. The components will be for service parts and capital projects. This equipment includes timber machines, chilling and freezing and equipment, grain stackers. Leaning on your strong relationship skills you will be able to give technical support to the team and customers in an efficient and effective manner.

About You

    • Experience in using manual/semi-automated or automated tools i.e. lathes, grinders
    • Fitter/ Turner Qualification or similar is highly desirable
    • Ability to use precision tools to take accurate measurements
    • Ability to read mechanical drawings, schematics and manuals
    • Ability to work with delivery timeframes and multiple service requests
    • Excellent communication skills and work well in a team environment

Project Engineer
Hastings

In this role you will be reviewing engineering designs, overseeing the manufacture and installation of our products and services, use your relationship skills to liaise with customers and our internal teams in Mechanical Design, Automation, Electrical Operations, and the Workshop and ensure that projects are completed on schedule, within budget and within project specifications.

About you:

  • Have a minimum Trade qualification or NZCE qualification in engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years project engineering experience
  • Be competent in Microsoft Suite and preferably ERP software
  • Operational planning experience
  • Model excellent time management
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills

We are on the hunt for an experienced tradesperson who can contribute to the achievement and success of our organisation.
