Service Manager
Brisbane, Australia  |   Permanent

The Opportunity:

As the Service Manager of our Chilling and Freezing business, you'll be at the heart of our Australian operations. This is an exciting new role that is about more than just managing services; it's about being a strategic leader, driving sales through service excellence and proactive management of critical spare parts. Your mission will be to forge lasting relationships with clients, providing unparalleled service across the MHM Group product range. This is your chance to play a pivotal role in a growing business, leading the charge to instil and grow our servicing and aftermarket sales within the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety of activities for the service team to ensure all policies and procedures reflect the basis to all servicing warehousing.
  • Lead, co-ordinate, engage and inspire our service team to meet customer and company service delivery performance.
  • Lead the department to deliver quotes and service agreements that meet customer and business needs.
  • Management of relationships for key customers to ensure unparalleled service and support.
  • Spare parts management and inventory control within our warehouse.
  • Foster and maintain a close working relationship with our Sales, Engineering and Projects teams to ensure collaborative outcomes for customer and business success.
  • Improve the systems and processes currently utilized to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the department.

Who You Are:

  • You have a bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field, or possess a relevant trade qualified experience.
  • You've led service teams in the aftersales industry, ideally with a background in Chilling and Freezing or food processing equipment.
  • Your attention to detail is unmatched, and problem-solving is second nature.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships is your forte, whether it's with internal teams, suppliers, or customers. Domestic and some international travel will be required in order to meet with customers.
  • Exposure to Business Excellence, Lean methodology would be well regarded
  • You're tech-savvy, especially with Microsoft Suite, and possess excellent communication skills. Organisation and multitasking are part of your DNA.
  • Advanced MS Office skills, (Excel and Word)
  • Possess excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to multitask and complete tasks in parallel
  • Experienced and adept at leading teams
  • Possess a strategic and analytic mindset to develop and deliver on new opportunities.

Service Technician
Hastings  |   Permanent

Based out of our Hastings office, you will use your strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with customer representatives, in this customer facing role. The Service Technician will predominantly travel throughout New Zealand & Australia to perform scheduled maintenance, respond to emergency breakdowns, and ensure the optimal functioning of our equipment at client sites. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the expansion of this business area by identifying new service opportunities and coordinating with the Servicing and Sales teams. Ensuring the safety of our customers, their staff, and our team members is of paramount importance, and you will be expected to adopt best practices in all aspects of your work.

About You:

  • Trade Certificate in Fitting, Mechanical Technician
  • Experience in Automation and/or food processing equipment would be advantageous
  • Ability to systematically diagnose faults and provide well thought out solutions
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Be able to develop and maintain relationships with internal teams, suppliers, and customers
  • Be a pragmatic problem solver focused on finding solutions
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Hold a current Passport allowing for International Travel when required.
