Spent Cell Lining Crushing Plant
Design and build of a prototype plant for New Zealand Aluminium Smelter (NZAS) to add value to a byproduct of the smelting process.
Design and build of a prototype plant for New Zealand Aluminium Smelter (NZAS) to add value to a byproduct of the smelting process.
The purpose was to turn their Spent Cell lining (SCL) from a nuisance by-product into a sized sellable one.
The 50TPH plant was designed, manufactured and installed to exacting industry specifications, inline with our ISO9001 credentials.
The plant was designed to handle SCL up to 450mm in lump size. Any ferrous metal in the feedstock up to 120kg is extracted by a magnet and then further screened by an all-metal detector removing any sizable aluminium. The feedstock is pre-screened before being sent to the crusher and then re-circulated over the screen and into the crusher again until completely scalped. The sized SCL is then fed into either twin 30T silos or twin bagging plants.
