Delivery of a 1500TPH ship to store project for Boral Resources in Brisbane, Australia.
Designed by SKM Brisbane, for Boral Resources. The project consisted of six elevated belt conveyors in fully enclosed 3m square galleries that spanned 440m between five structural towers. With the tallest tower fully assembled 26m high.
All fabrication work (320t), including trail assembly and painting was completed at SCE’s Christchurch workshop, packed and shipped by break bulk carrier to Brisbane.
Three 1200mm wide belt conveyors convey gypsum at 1500tph from the wharf based hopper which is some 60m in the Brisbane River, to the Plaster board plant.
An elevated 100m long belt conveyor and integrated tripper is used to stockpile gypsum within the store.
The longest conveyor is 160m travelling at 3m/sec and driven by a 185kW DOL motor.
A second set of three conveyors carry the gypsum from the store to the plasterboard mill at approx 150tph.
